Dukes of Burgundy lived and conducted
               business.
Today, the impressive property serves as
the offices of city hall, as well as the
Musée des Beaux Arts, or Museum of
Fine Arts, which features some wonderful
artifacts from this period. Specifically, the
Salles des Gardes houses the magnificent
tombs of the Dukes, Philip the Bold and
               John the Fearless, decorated with
sculptures by the Flemish masters Jean de
Marville, Claus Sluter and Claus de Werve. The tombs are considered medieval masterworks.
The museum’s impressive painting and sculpture collection, one of the very best in France
outside Paris, includes pieces by Dutch and Flemish masters. Included are pieces by Rubens and
Bruegel, works of the Impressionists, Manet and Monet, and statues by François Rude, the man
responsible for the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

Your tour will also include a visit to the wonderful Les Halles market, arguably the finest market
in all of Burgundy. Housed in a cast iron building from the 1800s, the Dijon market is a
tantalizing mecca of vendors and restaurants. And yes, you’ll find plenty of the region’s
infamous mustard! If you like, your guide can lead you to Edmond Fallot, a boutique mustard
producer. Taste an array of mustards including our favorite, basil mustard. We also can
recommend a great, local truffle producer that offers tastings in its Dijon shop.

When you’ve finished exploring the lively markets and charming medieval streets of Dijon,
which is populated with numerous half-timbered buildings, drive 40 min to end the day in
Levernois, where you will base at a tranquil property located a 10-min drive from the wine town
               of Beaune. Evening at leisure.

Proposed Accommodations for 3 Nights: Hostellerie de Levernois, our favorite property in the
Beaune area. This Relais & Chateaux stunner is noted for its tranquil, parkland setting and
               outstanding dining.

Day 6: The Cote de Nuits, a Guided Wine Tour. Meet Brendan again today and explore the
hallowed vineyards located between Dijon and Beaune known as the Cote de Nuits. We’ll
include two private visits in your itinerary today. We will confirm specific visits once your
program is booked, but the day might include a family-run, limited-production domaine such as
