INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Jack & Jill Children’s Center. This manual, while not an implied or express contract,
states in general terms the policies governing your actions as a team member of Jack & Jill
Children’s Center and the benefits of employment with Jack & Jill Children’s Center. It is the
policy of Jack & Jill Children’s Center that all team members are employed at the will of the
Center. We place special emphasis at Jack & Jill Children’s Center on our team members as
individuals and recognize that no manual can cover all situations. It is our hope that everyone
will be able to achieve the highest level of performance and job satisfaction possible. Neither
this manual, nor any other communication, shall bind Jack & Jill Children’s Center to continued
employment of any individual team member, or group of team members.

The purpose of this manual is to set forth the personnel and administrative policies relative to
the team members of Jack & Jill Children’s Center. It also explains benefits which you may
receive as a team member. You are encouraged to discuss any questions you may have with
your immediate supervisor or with the Chief Executive Officer.

This manual will be amended from time to time, as policies change or are added. It is your
responsibility to keep your manual updated. Revisions and changes shall be supplied to you
and will be available as soon as possible after adoption. New policies or amendments to
existing policies will be effective immediately for all team members unless otherwise noted on
the policy.

In addition to reading this Personnel Policy Manual team members of Jack & Jill Children’s
Center are also required to read the Jack & Jill Children’s Center Family Handbook, the State
and County Laws for Child Care Licensing, the National Association for the Education of Young
Children’s Standards and the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s Code
of Ethics.
