 Watch the temperature
Keep the temperature to around 20oC, as this is a comfortable temperature for most people.
If your heater does not have a thermostat,
you can purchase one so you can easily monitor the temperature.
Close off any rooms that are not in use
Only heat the rooms you are using helps to keep the energy bill down.
Move your couch
If your couch, curtains or drying clothes are too close to your heater, they will be absorbing all the heat. Moving these items away from the heater to allow hot air to circulate freely can help heat the room and use less energy.
Warm yourself
Put on an extra layer of clothing or pop on your slippers before turning up the heat.
 Maintain your heaters
Having your heater serviced professionally at least every two years, helps your heater run efficiently. Keeping heaters dust free and cleaning filters regularly can also help.
Alternatively, if your heater is more than 15 years old, it may be time to replace it with a new, more efficient model.
