   ALLCARE FEATURES
  allcare & COVID-19
The health and wellbeing of allcare clients and team members is our number one priority.
In-home care services are considered an essential service and should be maintained for the ongoing health and wellbeing of care recipients. Continuance of services will enable allcare to effectively support the essential day-to-day and long-term health care needs of our clients.
We understand that allcare services form a vital part of our clients’ lives and we are continually adapting our resourcing and way of working so we can support our clients as much as possible.
We understand that COVID-19 has created a great deal of uncertainty, and it is our goal to provide readers of allcare Connect with both information and resources from trusted sources so you can be informed.
                       What is COVID-19?
COVID-19 is a new strain of coronavirus.
As a group, coronaviruses are common all over the world. Typical symptoms of coronavirus include fever and a cough that may progress to a severe pneumonia causing shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. Generally, coronavirus can cause more severe symptoms in people with weakened immune systems, older people, and those with long- term conditions like diabetes, cancer and chronic lung disease.
How have we changed to respond to COVID-19?
Luckily, since it was founded allcare has invested heavily in digital tools, which has enabled our team to work entirely virtually.
All of the essential tools required to keep the show on the road, from our telephone systems
to our scheduling tools are cloud hosted.
This means that we have not had to change many of our processes in order for our team to work remotely, allowing us to adhere to social distancing protocols.
What steps are we taking to keep clients and team members safe?
allcare has taken steps to reinforce the training available to all team members on COVID-19 and infection control. This includes training that has been made available by the Australian Government Department of Health.
allcare has taken steps to educate our
team members about increasing handwashing and hand-sanitising protocols: upon arrival, before/after direct contact and at regular intervals throughout the day.
