Building resilience:
Looking after your mental health during COVID-19
It is critically important to focus on physical health during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Doing this, according to the health advice allcare has received, includes engaging in physical distancing, good personal hygiene and looking after your immune system. If we are going to flatten the curve however, as a community
it is especially important that we also look after our mental health.
Beyond Blue has provided six handy tips that can be used as the building blocks for maintaining mental health:

Stay active for a healthy mind
The links between mental health and regular physical activity are very well documented. To engage in regular physical exercise, you don’t need to pump weights in a gym! Focus on getting incidental exercise, such as swapping the lift for stairs, and walking to the corner shop rather than driving.
