What’s Wrong with Miho

What’s wrong with Miho Kimdaichi? She suddenly cut her hair. Miho is

my section-mate in 3Z, my ELA classes. She had beautiful long hair, and I
thought it was very cute. However, now she has short hair. I wonder why she

cut her hair.
One day, in the S&L class, I was in the same breakout room with Miho. In

the S&L class, we are doing a Lecture Listening Journal (LLJ). For homework,
we have to watch a TED talk, and in class, we need to summarize it and tell the

reactions of it to other classmates. After that, we had a short discussion
about the topic. I like this class because I can listen to the classmate’s way of

thinking that I cannot hear in usual. This time, I watched a TED talk of a wife of
a famous president of an IT company who supported her husband. I asked

the discussion member, “Can you support your partner like the speaker?” Miho
said, “I’m not sure because it’s painful for me that the person I believed in,

cheated on me. There is no meeting with no leaving...” I was very confused. Is
this related to the topic? However, no one took notice of her significant

remarks. I was absolutely sure that she cut her hair because of a broken
heart.

The next day, in the pair work of ATS, I was with Miho. We did the pair
work in one minute, and there was an uncomfortable silence between Miho

and me. Therefore, I took the plunge and asked her why she cut her hair. Then,
she said, “I thought it was a waste of time to dry my hair with a drier for 30

minutes every day.” I was at the mercy of her! [297 words]
