Tragedy in a Seaside Town

There was a boy called Kai. He likes fishing and he is thought of as a

kind guy in his town. But he has one negative characteristic: he doesn't
hesitate to throw away his trash into the sea. One day Kai went to the sea to

enjoy fishing as usual and threw away his plastic bag in which he kept the feed
for fish. After getting some, he brought the fish to his mother, Mika. She loves

to cook dinner with his fish, so they enjoyed the fish dinner. That’s the routine
of this family.

However, that night, Mika suddenly felt unwell, and she called an
ambulance, which took her to the only one hospital in this town. After the

medical examination, the doctor said she somehow took tiny trash into her
body, which caused her stomach to go wrong. After hearing this, Kai thought

to himself. “Why the hell did I do such a wrong thing?” He felt guilty because
the tiny trash might be the one he had thrown away into the sea. Even though

Mika got well in a few days, he remained guilty.
A few months later, Kai confessed his sin to Mika. He explained that he

often threw away his trash, and Mika had a little possibility that she took his
trash into her body. He thought he would be scolded by her, but the response

was di erent. “Don’t worry. You just have to care about that from now on.” And
he decided to care for his environment since that experience. [256 words]
