In 2003, Firehouse Quilts was organized and served only local fire departments. We currently service 20 fire depart- ments and over 22 human services departments, hospitals, and shelters. The group is made up of over sixty volun- teers who make and donate over 2,000 quilts a year. Volunteers meet for one sew day a month, as well as work in their homes. Deliveries are made by the board members and volunteers when quilts are requested by agencies.
Fostering Love Rescues rescues and provides temporary shelter and medical care for adoptable cats and dogs for the purpose of finding them suitable and permanent homes. We adopt rescued horses and other hoofed animals for the purpose of providing a loving and safe environment through the end of life.
