DOUGLAS COUNTY NONPROFIT GIVING GUIDE
www.dccf.org/givesday
In a time when domestic sex trafficking is at an all time high, we at From Silenced To Saved have a mission to bring awareness, education, and training to the community; and support to those who fall victim to domestic sex traffick- ing and exploitation. In addition to community education, we provide a range of trauma informed services to victims of child sexual exploitation including: risk and case management, mentoring, first responding, scene presence, and safe housing.
HawkQuest’s approach to education in classrooms and lecture halls is participatory, allowing the audience to experience HawkQuest’s non-releasable eagles, owls, falcons and hawks at close range. We aim to make education both meaningful and fun, while creating an atmosphere which fosters respect for our land and the stewardship of all living things. Our message concerning the importance of biodiversity, of the finality of extinction, and of man’s need to nurture his world is interwoven with discussions of the raptors’ place in our ecosystem. HawkQuest is entirely outreach - we bring our birds and educational programs to your location.
