       DEFORMATION MONITORING
Defined as systematic measurement and monitoring of
changes in the shape or dimensions of objectives as a
result of forces applied to them.
Structural monitoring is a process of high importance that
       protects and ensures:
       • the life and physical integrity of employees and the
       general public
       • the mechanical equipment
       • public and private property, and Ag. Stefanos, rail tunnel
       • in general, the project itself
The monitoring procedure includes the fields of applied
topography and geomechanics, and is directly related
to civil engineering, mechanical engineering and rock
       mechanics.

       METHODOLOGY
       • Acknowledgement of the project requirements
       • Planning, action, equipment, personnel and methodology
       • Placement of markers at points of interest
       • Establishment of trigonometric micro-movement network Platanos motorway tunnel
outside the project zone of interest
       • Network measurement and re-solution
       • Taking measurements of reference regarding
monitoring markers and each of the reference points
       • Execution of frequent monitoring measurements
       regarding the markers
       • Presentation of results in TIME & DISTORTION
diagrams designed by the suitable software and database
       program TERRAMOVE by IQSoft

APPLICATIONS Ext. line 3, Athens metro

In particular, some of the applications of this methodology
       have been used in:
       • Dams
       • Roads
       • Tunnels
       • Bridges and overpasses
       • Multistory and historical buildings
       • Foundations
       • Mining-exploitation
       • Landslides and sloping
       • Earthquake-prone regions Tsakona bridge
