Babinski’s Reflex

▪ Dorsiflexion of the big toe and fanning of the other toes; elicited by firmly
stroking the lateral aspect of the sole of the foot
▪ Is a pathological or abnormal reflex in anyone older than 2 years and represents
the presence of central nervous system (CNS) disease
