Speculation continued as to the future of the chairmanship
and in the following year a spokesman for the company

"Mr Stakis has made no secret of the fact that he's looking
for a chairman who would let him step down and become
president. There is nothing sinister about Professor
Roland Smith not becoming chairman in September. It was
simply thought that he would be better in the role of
