                 Chisman expressed confidence that he would be able to use

                 his  academic  knowledge  of  the  hotel  industry  and  also

                 expressed the view that:





                 "Financial management has a lot of similarities whatever

                 the industry."





                 Chisman had been highly thought of at Underwoods where

                 his  strengths  were  seen  to  be  in  business  planning  and

                 identifying  markets.  He  was  also  thought  to  have  the

                 firmness  necessary  to  rein  back  on  over  enthusiasm  by
                 colleagues,  although  he  was  considered  to  be  more

                 optimistic than the average accountant, and to have a sense

                 of humour.





                 He said he was attracted to Stakis partly because of the size

                 of  the  company,  its  new  products  -  the  Country  Court

                 concept  and  the  nursing  homes  -  and  also  for  the

                 enthusiasm of Andros Stakis backed by the experience of

                 Sir Reo.





                 As regards the standing of the company, he said that he did
                 not think there was anything to be concerned about in the

                 rate of expansion but conceded that the company would be

                 advised to keep the City better informed than it had in the
