Case studies are complex unstructured bodies of material

               from which sense has to be extracted whether long or short

               a terrorist act. The perpetrator of this saw the prospect of

               making money from share price betting.


               At first sight it seemed to be a financial case leading to the

               exploration of short pricing theory and its impact on the

               companies affected. It allowed the introduction of other


               cases where shorting was a major element.


               It developed in other ways such as the viewing of football

               players as  assets rather than people and football clubs as

               businesses subject to managerial decision making and the

               splitting of responsibilities.
