The act of indictment added that, following the attack,

The Team and the Game 12 April 2017
Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Marcel Schmelzer told the
court of the moment the team bus was rocked by
explosions. He said: "There was a loud bang, there was
panic in the bus. The players were in the aisle. I was
extremely shocked, I felt the blast of the bang. Then we
heard screams from Marc Bartra and saw that he was
bleeding. You could see the fear in his eyes."
Sven Bender a former Germany left back, also commented
that he still suffers psychological effects almost a year on
whilst full back Felix Passlack, 19, said he had not yet got
over being caught up in the attack.
He also joined his team-mates in saying they should not
have been made to play when the match was
rescheduled just 24 hours later.
Coach Thomas Tuchel, 44, was sacked after publicly rowing
with team boss Hans-Joachim Watzke over that decision. He
said he would probably still be in his job if not for the bomb
attack, and said his disagreement with Watzke was because:
"I was sitting in the bus and he wasn't."
