The students of class IX- XII got a
chance to go on a trip to Kopatty in COORG TREK
Coorg. The trip was organized by India
hikes, a hiking community filled with
nature lovers, travellers and explorers
alike. The two-day trip was filled with Grade X students
fantastic views from the top of the hills
and the beauty of the streams flowing
through the veins of the Western
Ghats. The hike up the mountains was
exhausting for some but the view from
the summit was rewarding.
The students also learned how to pitch their
Grade IX students
own tents and this experience served as a
simulation for what trekking would actually
feel like to first time campers. Apart from this,
students spotted various birds and insects
which were rare and indigenous to the area
like the Malabar hornbill and the signature
spider. The students learned the importance of
teamwork, skill and tenacity. On the whole, it
was a fun filled trip with cherished memories
for the students.
