Managing Manhood
Introduction
David the Shepherd, Psalmist, and King presented the rhetorical question asking:
“What is man…”. In scripture we learn that man is the first offspring of the
creator and because of the divine nature that was breathed into him man has the
ability to father or procreate his own seed, value system, social standards, and
behavioral norms. The values that governed a man’s family will eventually set
the standards for the community that he lives in. If a man lacks moral judgment
the inequities of his judgment will be filtered through the social surroundings of
his environment. His associations, and where he goes, what he does are
reflective of what kind of man he is. What he fathers in his personal environment
will be nothing different than what he will father in other relationships.
