Which Direct Imaging it is the best for us?
We started to look for the right DI, but there were too many different systems available, UV, LED, LASER, single or double layer, single or double drawer, with autofocus, with... without... and always too many zeros in the price...
At Productronica 2015 we had finally 2 possible choices, Orbotech and Ucamco. Both systems can be ok, but there are advantages and disadvantages making the choice really hard - LED or Laser,
Orbotech SW or Ucamco SW... price, maintenance cost, on site support and again too many zeros in the price...
Probably influenced by the difficult time we had with Orbotech SW, compared with the super integrated Ucamco SW we use with our photo plotters, the really positive trials we did with LEDIA, and a really big discount, we chose finally
the Ucamco System!

LEDIA what else?
The system was installed easily, and it was easy to work with it immediately. As I already mentioned, using the same Ucam platform of our plotters,
the system has been integrated into our production flow smoothly,
with a really fast and limited training.
After one week, it was fully operational and we were able to process an average of 200-250 sheets per day (8 hours).
After one month, we had reached an average of 300 sheets per day (8 hours). We finally said “WOW we can’t work again without it!”
The old DP-100 in a corner seems like a knocked-down boxer, a complicated and obsolete system on the Sunset Boulevard.
