We each have a calling right now…as we are told to stay at home, we obey out of love and
concern not only for ourselves but for our neighbors; we have a need to do our part. We are
being a blessing to others.
I see other blessings: members are reaching out via the phone to members and friends
who are not connected with internet. Aleda Lee has volunteered to help pick up groceries
for those needing groceries. Durand Ecumenical has worked out a great plan to get the
Easter food distributed. Thanks to three members that, as of this writing, have either mailed
or dropped off their weekly giving envelopes in the mailbox located to the left side of our
front doors. Medina has a need for home made masks…we can check out YouTube or go
to Joann Fabric to pick up precut kits to sew. I talked with a gal who has been cooking for
her neighbors on Elm Street who are out of work…yes God is in our midst! There are lots of
creative ways we can continue being blessings to one another and our neighbors while
social distancing.
I pray for God’s peace and wellness for you and leave you with this prayer: O God, you have
called your servants to ventures of which we can not see the ending, by paths as yet untrod-
den, through evils unknown. Give us faith to do your work this evening with good courage,
not knowing where we go, but only that your hand through the power of the Holy Spirit is
leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Your sister in Christ,
Sharon
