Trinity Lutheran Church Women

The future of the Trinity women’s group

TLCW September General Meeting will be Sunday, September 23, right after worship.

It was discussed at the April General Meeting that Trinity Lutheran Church Women (TLCW)
that we currently are lacking a Vice President that, as in our Constitution, would be advancing

to President in 2019. And there is a Mission Action vacancy. At that time, no one stepped
         forth to fill those positions.

It was decided to look for other models that could be used or pursue the option of disband-
ing. Of course there are some rules in doing this: like monies in our treasury. Either way, Trini-
ty women would still be in the Northwest Conference, NIS WELCA and would be able to par-
ticipate in all events and activities.

But if it is a desire to continue in the current form, we need officers to serve the 2019-2020
Board: President for one year (2019), Vice-President for one year (2019 moving to President
2020); Secretary, Mission Community, and Mission Growth, and Mission Action for one year
(2019). We will also vote on the 2019 budget. Would you consider taking an office of this
dynamic group of Christian women who are making a difference at Trinity, the local communi-
         ty, and beyond?

If you are interested in reviewing what has been done by the Trinity women since 1990, there

are copies of TLCW Summary of Motions and Discussion in the Library, in the TLCW cabinet in
the Storage Room, and the church office. The TLCW Board would like some input of your
desires so we can proceed. Whether it is continue as is, choosing another model or disband-
ing, the procedure will begin at the September General Meeting. We cannot do anything that
is best for all unless we know your feelings.
