ELCA Good Gifts that keeps on giving
God’s Global Barnyard is where an animal can make a world of difference
for a family in need. ELCA Good Gifts program offers many pur-
chasing options… from a personal purchase for “an animal” or a
group can purchase a more expensive gift or a purchase can be made for a Good
Gift for that “hard-to-buy-for” family/friend. If you purchase an animal gift in
the name of someone, pick up a coordinating Christmas card,
along with the ornament, to let that person know the “animal”
was given in their name. You are able to “purchase” an ornament of your
choice such as a goat for $50. Or perhaps a fish farm for $250. Or a cow for
$500. Or maybe a pig for $30.
With one gift you can help a family
escape the cycle of hunger and poverty.
Some of the gifts are more expensive, so we would encourage families to “go
together” and make a Good Gift purchase. Or another idea--- just put in a do-
nation in the “barnyard bank” located in the display area and as the project
nears the end, the monies collected will purchase an animal. No matter
which option, you may give a check made out to Trinity and either place
in offering plate or in the “bank” so you get the amount credited to your
envelope #. The monies will be sent to the ELCA.
Thanks so much for your most generous giving!
Trinity Lutheran Church Women
Trinity Women will meet on Sunday, December 9, after Worship
to discuss the disbursement of the Women’s Funds. Since the
vote to dissolve the organization known as TLCW, the current
Women’s Board has made recommendations that the whole as-
sembly needs to approve.
