Christmas Cookie/Candy “Walk” on Saturday, December 8
Bring your goodies on Friday, December 7
nd
Saturday, December 8, the members of Trinity will continue with the “new tradition”, our 2
Annual Christmas Cookie/Candy Walk. Please bring your cookies/candies to Trinity’s Narthex
on Friday, December 7, 9-noon, so set-up preparation can begin.
The cookie chairs would like some help getting cookies, breads, and candies attractively dis-
played so if you are able to help let chairs Lucy or Marilyn know. If you are unable to bring
your treats on Friday, make other arrangements with Lucy or Marilyn. Many have said “cookie
walks” go over very well, so it is a hope we have lots of varieties and in good quantity. If you
wish to bring your own containers when purchasing cookies and candies, you may do so. The
sale will be held on Saturday, December 8, beginning at 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Trinity in the
Narthex. Proceeds will be divided between Trinity’s Organ Fund and ELCA World Hunger.
Thrivent granted our request to purchase baking and candy ingredients
Thrivent Action Team has helped several years with this World Hunger (now including the Or-
gan Fund) fundraising project with $250 seed money so cookies and candy supplies could be
purchased. Some ingredients can be expensive such as: butter, sugar, eggs, walnuts, pecans,
flour, almond bark, chips, etc. By purchasing these items, hopefully more cookies and candies
will be donated. If there are varieties of cookies and candies that have special items, please let
Louise know and she will try to make them available. As soon as the credit card is received,
the shopping spree will begin and will have baking items available at the church lower level
kitchen on Sunday, November 25. Please stop by and take whatever you will use for the Or-
gan Fund and ELCA World Hunger fundraiser.
