P. 4
I want to begin my first Traveler report by saying thank you so much for your encour-
aging words and prayers as I transition into this unique role of your Synodically
Authorized Minister (SAM). One never knows where God may lead us. I am hum-
bled to be able to serve with you as we work through this time of transition together.
th
This is a special year for Trinity – our 175 Anniversary! What an accomplishment…
as we reflect on our heritage and all that’s been accomplished through our ministries
as well as our future.
As we think of our future, a paragraph from the council installation comes to mind.
These words are addressed to the council but we each individually have a response:
“You are to see that the words and deeds of this household of faith bear witness to
God, who gathers us into one together with the whole church. You are to seek to in-
volve all members of this congregation in worship, learning, witness, service, and
support, so that the mission of Christ is carried out in this congregation, in the wider
church, in this community, and in the whole world.” The congregation then responded
that they will share in this mutual ministry with God’s help.
