'Apollo'. In 1987, Galileo was formed by nine European
carriers, which are British Airways, Aer Lingus, KLM,
Alitalia, Swissair, Austrian Airlines, Olympic Airways, Air
Portugal and Sabena.
3- Worldspan:
Worldspan is a global distribution system, which is
used by travel agencies and travel related websites to book
airline tickets, hotel rooms and package tours. Worldspan
hosts IT services and product solutions for major airlines. It
was formed in early 1990 by Delta Airlines, Northwest
Airlines and TWA to operate and sell its GDS services to
travel agencies worldwide.
