resulted in radical negative changes in the airline
activity; a decline in the airline business.

4- In 1944: after the Second World War; the Chicago
Convection was held in Havana; the Cuban Capital. It
resulted in the creation of the International Air
Transport Association (IATA), which included the
international airline companies that have scheduled
airlines.

(B) Aims of IATA:
Due to the vital role played by IATA in air transport

issues, any carrier should be an IATA agent for its
important role in:
a- Promoting safe, regular and economic air transport.
b- Fostering air commerce.
c- Standardising travel and cargo documents amongst

airline companies.
