Appendix By-Laws Revision History
This history commences on December 17, 2007. No history of prior revisions of the By-Laws was maintained.
December 17, 2007: Revised definition of director to include non-voting member; revised Article VI 3B to include no initiation fee charge for returning from medical leave (both of these passed by membership in 2002). Added Article VII 3A to include Emeritus and changed Corporate to Article VII 3B. G. Borton, Club Secretary
February 27, 2008: General revision of several sections of the bylaws to better reflect how the Club is operated and to change the order and format for clarity. These changes were approved by the membership at the February 11, 2008 annual meeting. G. Borton, Club secretary.
Feb 13, 2012: Revised three By-laws per vote of membership. 1) Article III – Sections 1, 2, 3 relating to size of board, term of office, quorum definition. 2) Article VI – Section 6 – Liability. Changed to no refunding of dues when leaving Club except in extenuating circumstances. 3) Article VIII – Meetings and Voting, Section 5 – Voting, C. Votes Required. Changed amendment of bylaws to requiring a 2/3 majority of those voting. G. Borton, Club secretary.
August 15, 2013: Added the addendum amendment passed at the July 15 Special Member Meeting regarding operation under a general manager. G. Borton, Club secretary.
November 26, 2014: Incorporated the addendum approved August 15, 2013 regarding changes in operation with a general manager into the main body of the by-laws to reflect the current operation and to make these changes more apparent to the reader. GTB 11/26/2014
February 11, 2019: By-Laws Amendments approved by Membership vote at Annual Meeting. The Club’s organization structure ongoing is with a full time General Manager.
At Article V Committees:
Section 1. General.
Add at End of Paragraph: All committees shall operate under a description of its function approved by the Board and support the General Manager who serves as an ex-officio member of all committees.
Section 2. Membership Committee.
Add at End of Paragraph: The Membership Committee, in conjunction with the Finance Committee, may propose non-Proprietary Certificate memberships to the Board for approval.
Section 5. Grounds Committee.
Was: The Greens Committee shall support the Manager and Greens Superintendent and make
recommendations on areas of improvement of the golf course. This committee shall operate
under a description of its function approved by the Board.
Now: A. The Grounds Committee shall support the General Manager and Golf Course
Superintendent and make recommendations on areas of improvement of the golf course. B. The Grounds Committee shall support the General Manager to assure the required
maintenance, alterations or improvement of all buildings, equipment, and other physical
property of the Club is accomplished. Section 6. Golf Committee.
Was: The Golf Committee shall support the Manager as required and adopt rules governing the use and storage of carts. The Committee will also set rules for Golf Play as required. It shall operate under a description of its function approved by the Board.
Now: The Golf Committee, in conjunction with managerial staff is charged with building and creating the golf program of the Club. The Committee’s principal functions are:
1. Develop calendar and format of golf events, 2. Establish Club policies for golf events,
