My beliefs where challenged again during

this journey, sometimes in simple ways.

There is a joke about Swiss people: they have
their mind opened as much as the

mountains allow it, meaning “not much,” as

Switzerland is a very small country,
surrounded by mountains.

Perfection reigns. Things have to be done a
certain way.

I remember a time in sewing class (you had

to learn sewing in Switzerland, as well as
knitting, crochet and cooking), I was making

a green and silver blouse. I had to find the
thread and a zipper just a shade darker than

the material. Nothing else would do.
