Brechbill & Helman transformed this previously
occupied space into a medical imaging facility. Th ere
are 7 imaging services including closed MRI, open
MRI, cat scan, x-ray, ultrasound, mammogram and
dexa scan.

Th is project was planned and designed to utilize all
square footage carefully to accommodate all 7 services
within such a small space. CT and closed MRI share a
control room and placement of equipment was closely
monitored to allow optimal access and usage in each
individual suite. Th e project included Lead lined
rooms, doors, frames/glass for radiation protection
and fully enclosed RF shielded rooms enclosing the
MRI units. Removing existing concrete fl oors and
installing large foundations was also necessary due
to equipment weighing up to 40,000 lbs. Th e facility
included a highly adjustable and controllable HVAC
system and humidifi cation system.
