ers as mere “rabble”.

The Kazova workers lacked organisation when they were
thrown out of work. Thieving bosses emptied out the factory be-
fore their eyes, four months’ wages were taken from them and they
di not raise their voices. After being thrown out of work, resistance

did not occur to them. But under the guidance of the DIH, they
built up their resistance step by step until they had occupied the
factory… They say, “We will be a thorn in the side of the bosses
who have stolen from us, we will not feed them.” The Kazova
workers know well who their friends and enemies are. And they
are not resisting for themselves alone but for the whole of the
working class. They are resisting all insolent bosses who see the
workers as “rabble”.

The Kazova workers are resisting the laws of this system which
do not protect the rights of workers but do protect thieving bosses.
They are resisting police who act as security guards for thieving
bosses… They are resisting religious hypocrite members of MU-
SIAD (translator’s note: Muslim employers’ federation in Turkey)
who plunder the people, exploit their religious beliefs and present
this as allegedly Islam. They are resisting reformism and system
trade unionism that does not organise workers’ resistance but liq-
uidates it… They are resisting to turn lack of organisation into or-

ganisation and to show the power of organisation…

The resistance of the Kazova workers is the resistance of the
whole working class. The victory of the resistance will be the vic-
tory of the whole working class. Think of Turkun Albayrak’s vic-
tory when resisting all by herself: immediately after her victory
resistance started in dozens of other places by people saying “We
