The 1991 C.B.A. varsity golf team enjyed an extremely suc cessful season, spearheaded by the consistent play of Kraig Hitchcock and Pat Barry. The year began with John Geisler coming out of the gates quick ly. Geisler knocked in an ex tremely long putt to capture the last varsity spot. Geisler said, "I just wanted to give it a chance and I came through in the clutch.” Pat Barry took his game to new heights as his opening round of 34 showed. Larry Pindle served as a valu
able, if inconsistent, member of the team. He posted scores ranging from 39 to 64. But he said, "I love the pressure.” Kraig Hitchcock ended the season as the team’s most val uable player. The team cap tured the OHSL Metro League crown with a record of lO-l. Next year’s team should be
solid, as most of this team will still be playing. Our team’s theme, as said by Bill Murray, "Silver wings, upon their chests, these varmints, Amer ica’s best.”
