 Little Brothers Reach Post-Season Play
Under the fine coaching of Mr. Maxwell, the Middle
School Basketball team took the C Y O Parochial Grammar
School League by storm. Led by team high scorer Rod-
ney Fair the squad tallied a super 11-1 league record,
Early victories over league rivals Sacred Heart and St.
Ann’s carried the team into the St. Charles tournament. In
the championship game, an outstanding performance by
Seventh grader Mark Adams proved too little against the
non-league competition of St. Margaret’s.
The experienced team took the defeat in stride and with
the help of Tony Martinez and floor captain Matt ludice,
the team got back on the winning track. In a key game
against league foe Blessed Sacrament, the entire team
gave an excellent performance. Coming back from a nine-
teen point deficit with less than six minutes left, the team
pulled out a narrow four point victory. Their continuing
tradition suggests that the high school can expect suc-
cessful squads in the future.
