It felt really good to be back onstage at Symphony Hall in Springfield again! Things seemed back to
normal as we rehearsed all winter, had our special retreat weekend and special coaching sessions from
Karen Rourke and Jen Cook.

We also were pleasantly surprised at the extra gigs we were hired for this spring. The Barnstable Home
and Garden Show and Chatham’s Women’s Club were both very appreciative audiences, with a standing
ovation at Chatham. Our performance at the Covenant Church of Cape Cod was a delightful evening for
both us and the attendees. And of course, it wouldn’t be summer if we didn’t perform the National Anthem
at the Hyannis Harbor Hawks baseball game!

Now as we look forward to fall, we are preparing for our annual recruitment Open House on September
19. Our Membership team has lined up a recruitment event at a large 55+ condominium association that
we are very much looking forward to. We are pulling out all the stops this year in hopes of recruiting new
members on Cape Cod – a very challenging geographical area indeed.
