                                            Chorus Lines

         Berkshire Hills Chorus

It is the start of a new year and what a great time to reflect on the many wonderful moments which we
shared together as a chorus in these recent months. Our chorus has been so fortunate to be able to
perform all over Berkshire County throughout this past summer, autumn, and the recent holiday season.

This summer, we performed outside under a gazebo in Great Barrington as part of their Summer
Concert Series. We also sang twice at Tanglewood, which is the summer home of the Boston Symphony
Orchestra. We sang for an appreciative audience on “Berkshire Day” and again for “Tanglewood on
Parade”... both times just prior to amazing Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts. How thrilling to be
part of such a culturally rich part of Massachusetts (opportunities to enjoy music, art, theater, dance are
abundant here in the Berkshires). As autumn displayed its seasonal colors, we continued to perform
outside as we sang at the Pittsfield Farmers Market and in Lilac Park for a “Lenox Loves Music” event.

After Thanksgiving, our holiday season began, and our schedule was delightfully packed. We enjoyed
opportunities to spread holiday joy as we sang at The Landing at Laurel Lake in Lee and also sang at all
five Fire Stations in the city of Pittsfield. We had a blast singing for Pittsfield’s finest firefighters and
were thrilled that they didn’t have to rush off for a fire during any of our performances. We loved
singing again at Great Barrington’s Holiday Stroll where we serenaded the crowd from a hay ride
through town, near the campfires off of Main Street, and in front of Town Hall before the lighting of the
Menorah and the Christmas tree. A fantastic bonus was the fun opportunity to sing LIVE on Berkshire
Community Radio, WCBR 97.7, which was being broadcast on Main Street. Our final holiday
performance was at Hancock Shaker Village, where we sang through our holiday repertoire inside the
Discovery Barn where families were warming up with hot cocoa and treats during the beautiful
         “Radiant Nights” display.
