Merrimack Valley A Cappella (continued)

We are so excited that our ranks are growing; five new members since March! Most recently we sung in two
new members: bari Lilah El-Fakih and lead Barbara Mague. It’s wonderful to have you both on the risers!
We’re also laying the groundwork for a membership drive this fall, getting some inspiration from SAI’s “Ignite
the Sound” Membership Growth Initiative.

All these activities are pointing toward a Nov. 13 show (where we’ll be debuting four new songs), more
bookings with local assisted living communities, the Andover farmer’s market in Oct. and singing the national
anthem at a UMass Lowell men’s hockey games early next year. We’re also busy with a fundraising drive in
partnership with Savers for mid-September.

In late June, bass A.C. Kao presented a gorgeous MVA quilt to the chorus, a labor of love she
had just received from her mother-in-law who had created it over the past several years.
