                . In a small bowl, gently warm the cherry preserves in the microwave

                  at 50-percent power for 45 seconds. Brush the preserves over the
                  bottom of the crust and then pile in the filling. Smooth the filling with
                  a small offset spatula.

                . Bake the tart for 35 to 40 minutes, until the filling is set. Allow it to
                  cool completely.
