are ready to proceed.

. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Sprinkle the Crust Dust to
cover the bottom crust, then pour in the cherry filling. Dot the top of
the filling with the butter.

. Cover the pie with whatever form of crust you have chosen for your
top piece. Crimp the bottom and top crusts together at the edges.
Brush the exposed dough with the egg wash. Sprinkle all over with
sanding or turbinado sugar.

. Bake the pie for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and
the bottom and top crusts are golden brown.
