                                                       TOPPING:

                                                       1 ⁄2 cup pecans
                 PREPARATION  TIME:  10  MINUTES
                                                       1 ⁄2 cup (packed) light brown sugar
                 BAKING  TIME:  35  TO  38  MINUTES
                                                       1 ⁄4 cup frozen unsweetened grated coconut
                  ASSEMBLY  TIME:  10  MINUTES

                                                       2 tablespoons cold butter,
              CAKE:
                                                           cut into 4 pieces
              Vegetable oil spray for misting the pan
              2 ounces German chocolate
                                                       1. Place a rack in the center of the oven
              1 package (18.25 ounces) plain German    and  preheat  the  oven  to  350°F.  Lightly
                  chocolate cake mix                   mist a 13- by 9-inch pan with vegetable oil
