As provider productivity increases, more back-of-house staff may be needed to support the new processes and increased patient
throughput. On the flip side, the time typically allocated to tasks such as stocking rooms with linen, maintaining point-of-care testing,
supplies and medical equipment, removal of dirty linen and waste, etc. is reduced.
