CAN continued
Cannons Elementary School combined its embryology
project with a third grade STEAM project. Third graders
built “tiny houses” and wired them for lights and
fans. The school also participated in the 4-H embryology
project and hatched four chicks. The chicks flew the coop
and settled in the tiny houses!
Teams of second graders, at Cannons Elementary School, were
challenged to select the correct notes to make a pentatonic scale
on a xylophone. The pictured team of three was the first to
succeed by choosing C D E G and A. The next challenge could be
to find some other possible choices by beginning with a different
“do” rather than C.
Five-year kindergarten students at Cannons Elementary
School practiced their dancing skills during recess.
Daniel Morgan Technology Center
Daniel Morgan Technology Center student,
Samuel Wyatt, signed an apprenticeship
agreement with Benteler Automotive. During his
senior year, Sam will enroll in Spartanburg
Community College’s Mechatronics program while
working part time at Benteler Automotive.
As the school year flashes to the end, the work doesn't
slow down. Daniel Morgan Technology Center health
science students are expanding their certification wall!
Congratulations!
