Daniel Morgan Technology Center faculty
from Architectural/Mechanical Design (Kim
Edgins), Electricity (Robert Sparks), Machine
Tool Technology (Hal Garner) and Marketing
(Jovanda Dickerson) presented to the eighth
grade at Cowpens Middle School as part of
the school’s Career Awareness Day. Student
ambassadors, Cole Quinn (Mechatronics
completer-Benteler Automotive Apprentice),
Brian Linder (Health Science Technology)
and Dalton Rich (Electricity and Carpentry)
assisted with the event as representatives for
DMTC.
Brandon McKinney, Daniel Morgan
Technology Center student and a Broome High
School senior is typing a CNC milling program
into one of our HAAS control simulators that he
had previously written. The simulator will then
show if the program was written correctly, or, it
will reveal any mistakes.
Cosmetology I students at Daniel Morgan
Technology Center are learning how to set up
and section hair for color applications.
Michael Balthazar, representative with
Universal Technical Institute, spoke
with students in the Automotive
Technology class at Daniel Morgan
Technology Center. He shared
information about UTI College and
spoke to students about the
importance of a professional email
address and voicemail and
appropriate postings on social media
websites.
