School Board Meeting Update
Student Recognitions
Cowpens Elementary School students who have art work on display in the District Three
Administrative Offices board room were recognized. These outstanding artists are: Aylssa
Arrowood, Bailey Barron, Blake Bridges,r Davis, Finley Duggins, Brooke Green, Mya
Hardy, Thorne Henslee, Kimberly Leiva, Adam Loftis, Lydia Grace Lyda, Thad Lyda,
Elisabeth Ortega, Angel Santiago, Bellamy Smith, Andrew Sturgill, and Olivia Watkins.
Each year the District holds a Christmas card design
competition. This year elementary students competed
for the honor. The District winner for the 2017 District
Christmas Card Design competition is Mason Goodwin,
a third grade student at Cowpens Elementary School.
He will receive 50 copies of his card and $100 for his
award winning design. Mason’s teacher is Shelley
Sawyer.
Staff Recognitions
Tonya McCullough, a Clifdale Elementary School teacher, is a DonorsChoose grant
recipient for a project entitled: “Building STEAM Skills in our Wonder Room.”
