Cowpens Elementary School fifth graders
are conducting experiments with solids and
liquids in order to understand mixtures and
solutions.

Cowpens Elementary School students were Cowpens Elementary School
proud to have their work displayed at the
Chapman Cultural Center’s Youth Art Month
exhibit. The exhibit will be open through
April 9.

Second graders at Cowpens Elementary School completed a
balls and ramps science unit. During one of the activities,
students weighed each ball and ordered them from lightest to
heaviest. They then rolled each from an inclined plane three
times. It was very obvious to the children that the weight of
the ball made a difference in how far it rolled.

Meryl, appeared on the Cowpens
Elementary School Cougar Morning
News to thank students for their
donations to the Animal Shelter. She and
the student news anchors also discussed
pet care.
