Obstetrics and Paediatrics Summary
SJHC: The paediatric inpatient services include a 12-bed unit that is located adjacent to our paediatric six-bed surgical
day care unit (admitted in the morning with same day discharge) and Level IIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We offer a
wide range of outpatient services in our specialized Paediatric Consultation Clinic, as well as walk-in services through our
CIBC Just for Kids Clinic. The Family Birthing Centre features rooms, other care areas and services that provide care
before, during and after pregnancy to support growing families.
SMH: The Women’s Health and Pediatrics program provides care to women during and after pregnancy through services
such as the obstetrical clinic, gynecological services including gynecological care, colposcopy, the pelvic health clinic and
social work support. In addition to this, the program also contains a CIBC Breast Centre and a pediatric clinic, which
houses a 20 bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and 12 pediatric ambulatory clinics.
