• Trauma volumes have increased
by 6% in Ontario; volumes at

SMH have decreased by 11%
while other TC LHIN hospitals

have increased by 22%.

• SMH makes up 8% of Ontario

market share.

• As a proportion of inpatient

volumes, traumatology makes up
4% of SMH activity.

• Top volumes are derived from TC LHIN patients; followed by Central and Central East.

• 51% of patients are discharged home or home with CCAC. SMH has 19% of patients being

discharged to a Continuing Care facility* and 13% to an Acute Care Facility.

• Providence is referred a minimal number of patients (~4%).
