Being a woman is powerful! Empathetic Witness

ave you noticed all the incredible women who are stepping forward to bring their talents, passion and
purpose to making a shift in our collective lives! These women are leaders, and they are also Wonder
Women! This magazine is full of them. You are seeing them show up in places of leadership, at the
H board table, as business owners and entrepreneurs. They are showing up as community advocates
both locally and internationally, they are fundraising for others, they are championing causes and they are
creative giants who have unleashed their talents so that we can all shine a little brighter. If you are reading
this article, you are more than likely one of those women! Congratulations and know that your courage,
passion and action is the change we have been looking for on this planet! Know this too, our work has only
just begun. Playing small serves no one and there is so much more that we are being called to if we are
willing to step up and own our power!
We are two sisters who grew up in a rural community and under the example of parents who were
extensively involved in building community, ensuring formative education for all and knowing that
the world was a big place, we were always encouraged to go and make something of ourselves. Years later
here we are with degrees and achievements, careers and businesses, families and lives that have, like us,
“matured nicely!”
So what’s next for these two sisters you may ask? Well, hitching our stars
to a larger constellation is a good metaphor for the work we are involve
with through The Global Institute for Evolving Women. Through
GIFEW and into our own communities we are combining our
education with the world of business and bringing the wisdom of the
years to our mentorship, coaching, mediation and consulting work.
We both have much to offer our individual and collective clients.
