Through these interviews and focus groups, it was the students’ goal in Fall 2017 to gather detailed, personal quali-
tative information about the main publics with which the LTHC interacts. Students relied on Qualitative Interviewing:
The Art of Hearing Data by Herbert J. Rubin and Irene S. Rubin for guidance in constructing the focus groups and
interviews.

Donors

● How did you hear about the services provided by the LTHC? Was it through an organization (such as a church
or local business) or did you learn from word of mouth, a friend, family member, radio station, internet, social
media, etc?

● When did you begin donating to the LTHC?
● Why have you been donating to the LTHC? What made you first want to start donating?

● How frequently do you donate to the LTHC?

● Have you or someone that you know personally experienced housing insecurities in the past year? Past ten years?
● Is there anything you think the LTHC can do to help make donating easier? More accessible?

● Is there anything we are forgetting to ask that you would like to tell us about the LTHC and your donating ex-
periences?
