The Idol Worshiper
Who placed this idol on the rock, what hands defiled this place?
Formed it was by mind of man, in hopes he could his sin erase.
But can this idol cover sin or make a man be clean?
Its form is fashioned by creative words, and in the mind its seen.
And those who receive by the ear, can take it into heart,
The idol becomes a way of life that no man will depart.
The eyes are blind, and the ears are deaf, and yet they see and
hear.
Holy, Holy, cry them all, but God cannot come near.
For their righteousness is as filthy rags, their precepts do they
