that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you

out of darkness into his marvellous light: We are commanded by

God to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, coming out from

the world and being a separate people, not as to be hermits or

monks in a monastery, but a living witness that we are the

temple of God and he dwells in us. Living in the midst of the

world when judgment comes and there s destruction all around

us, we will not have to run or be afraid, God is watching our

back. Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be

exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonished
at you; so his appearance was so marred more than any man, and

his form more than the sons of men: So shall he startle many

nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which

had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had

not heard shall they consider.
