yourselves. Instead of your shame you shall have double; and
instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore
in their land they shall possess double: everlasting joy shall be
unto them. The Lord Jesus read from this passage of scripture, in
the temple of his home town, saying this day it was fulfilled in
your ears. He was saying I am the Messiah and the Kingdom of
God is come to the earth. They knew what this passage of Isaiah
was about because Isaiah was always read and interpreted on the
Sabbath day. By their rejecting Jesus they did not keep the
scripture from being fulfilled. The Church came forth and the
covenant was established.
