20.Double portion Covenant
It is a double portion covenant. We have both the Father and the
Son. They both bare witness to our salvation and are in us by the
Holy Spirit. John 8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and
the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.John 17:21-24
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in
thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe
that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I
have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in
them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and
that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved
them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom
thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may
behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me
before the foundation of the world. When Elijah went by the
whirlwind into heaven, Elisha received a double portion
anointing, he did exactly double all the miracles of Elijah but
one, he died before it could be accomplished. Nevertheless his
bones lay in a tomb and a dead man was accidentally placed
upon them and he was resurrected. Therefore God’s promise to
Elisha was fulfilled after death. Even so we have also such a
covenant that greater things shall we do and have even a double
portion of the Kingdom of God in this life and in the life to
